Obscura Spotlight - Zairre Wright

This week in the Obscura Spotlight we have Zairre Wright. Known for his photography and fashion style, Zairre brings both words together to create some of the best images out there.

1. What made you fall in love with Photography?

Being able to decisively capture a second of time for you to look back on.

2. How long have you been shooting for?

2019 is when I got into it forreal forreal, so we are going on 4 years! Dang time flies.

3. Favorite camera, lens and film stock?

Believe it or not I love shooting the fujifilm instax wide 300 with the wide instant film more than anything it’s just so enjoyable, but my everyday carry is a Leica m4-p usually loaded with Lomography earl grey100.

4. What has influenced your photography the most?

I get my biggest influence from my friends, I hangout with a creative crowd and we always have some ideas to throw around.

5. Out of all your photos, which one is your favorite? Why?

This one which was made by accidentally keeping a yellow filter on a lens after finishing a roll of black and white it’s just so amazing how the colors came out. Also was one of my first big gigs with a music artist and it was also in the same place the filmed some scenes of the dark knight.

6. Perfect soundtrack or album to your photos?

She knows this- kid video.

7. What motivates you to continue taking photos?

Memories, I have a bad memory so these photos help me the most.

8. What's your ultimate goal with your work?

My ultimate goal is to bring up music artist who are just building and give them the photo presence that presents them in top tier to complement their great music.
